Man Like Me

I’m a little bit biased about this band because their singer Jessie Wareis a friend from uni – but I don’t think this really detracts from how good they are. I went to the launch of their EP – Lovestruck a few months back and had such an amazing time. Their mix of ska, electro and grime works nicely. Their songs are catchy and feel good and they even ended with a weird version of ‘My old man’s a dustman’ – epic.
They even have what so many great bands lack – dance routines! Oh, and over sized props!
Although this isn’t my fave song of theirs (which is London Town) this video for Lovestruck is visually brilliant and really captures the vibrancy and fun of Man Like Me.

Yeah ok, I know it looks exactly the same. I’ve been dying my hair this shade of brown with the blond bit for over a year but I still love it – even though my friend Chrissie says I look ginger. I just wanted to post a pick to remind myself what it looked like when it was still relatively salon fresh and before the roots creep back in!

I love this girl she has the most beautiful voice and I’ve been humming this song to myself all day. Plus when I met her she had me in stitches. It’s not often I meet such fun, genuine people so when I do I feel to share. Hope you like Alex Mills as much as me.

Girl About Town lippy

Statement lippy is brilliant but red can get so boring. I’ve been rocking this bright pink one from Mac. The shade is great but it is a lot more drying than my usual one from Bobbi Brown which is super rich. This is ‘Girl About Town’ and I’ve been pairing it with this magenta lip pencil – it’s not an exact match but blends together nicely.

I absolutely love how Pinboard have captured this. The way they’ve shot it is stunning and it just looks so sick. Loving this song too, but that goes without saying.
